Cast bio's

Tom welling: Clark Kent
Born and raised in New York, Welling is fairly new to the acting world. He performed in a few high school theater productions before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a professional career.

His first big break was landing six episodes on Judging Amy, playing opposite Amy Brenneman in a romantic role that drew raves. He landed the role of Kent after a nationwide search for a fresh face to play the part.

Welling has relocated to Vancouver while filming the series. When not working, he enjoys reading, playing basketball with friends and running.
Kristin Kreuk: Lana Lang
Born and raised in Vancouver, B.C., Kreuk began acting in plays in high school, but mostly focused on her schoolwork rather than the stage. Fate came calling at the beginning of her senior year when a casting director looking for new talent for the television series Edgemont tapped Kreuk for a starring role. It was her first professional audition.

Since then, she has starred on the Canadian series for three seasons and will continue her role while filming the second season of Smallville. She was also chosen as one of the new faces of Neutrogena and started an advertising campaign with them in 2002.

Kreuk currently lives in Vancouver and when not working enjoys reading and spending time with friends.

Michael Rosenbaum: Lex Luthor
Born in Oceanside, N.Y. and raised in Newburgh, Ind., Rosenbaum excelled in high school drama classes. Once hooked, he took on lead roles in college stage productions such as The Heidi Chronicles while attending Western Kentucky University and performing in regional theater during his summers.

Upon graduation with a degree in mass communications and theater, he packed his bags and headed for New York to pursue acting. He quickly landed roles in off-Broadway productions and small independent films, and soon segued into regular appearances on Late Night with Conan O'Brien in a sketch called The Amsterdam Kids.

His first real break came when he got a series regular role on The WB comedy series "The Tom Show," with Tom Arnold. The relationship with the network continued as he was cast as Jack in the New York comedy "Zoe, Duncan, Jack & Jane."
Keeping busy over his hiatus, Rosenbaum recently wrapped production on the feature film Bringing Down the House opposite Steve Martin. The film is slated for release in the spring of 2003. This November he can be seen in the independent film Poolhall Junkies with Chazz Palminteri and Christopher Walken. Other film credits include Sorority Boys with 7th Heaven's Barry Watson and Sweet November with Keanu Reeves and Charlize Theron. He also starred in the hit thriller Urban Legend and appeared in Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, directed by Clint Eastwood and starring Kevin Spacey and John Cusack.

Rosenbaum currently resides in Los Angeles. When not working, he belongs to an ice hockey league, a sport that he has played since childhood, and is a dedicated New York Rangers fan.
